Description S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
S. T. A. L. K. E. R.: Clear Sky — a computer game in the genre of first-person shooter with role-playing game elements, developed by the Ukrainian company GSC Game World and released in Russia on August 22, 2008. The publisher in the CIS countries and Ukraine is GSC World Publishing, in the rest of the world the game is published by Deep Silver.
The project began to be developed in September 2006. It was then called "S. T. A. L. K. E. R.: Anarchy Cell". It planned such locations as: Catacombs; A bridge over the Pripyat River; Dungeons of Pripyat (restored in "S. T. A. L. K. E. R.: The Call of Pripyat") and Generators. However, the first 2 locations were completely unrealized and remained at the level of concept art, and the rest were cut out. However, the location of the "Catacombs"was renamed the "Abandoned Hospital"and became located between Limansk and the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. On July 11, 2007, the game was announced, although it was still called " S. T. A.L.K.E.R.:Clear Sky".The release was planned for the first quarter of 2008. In July 2008, a factory copy of the game was stolen. This turned out to be a user under the nickname Marked. As it turned out, a friend who worked there gave him a disc with a game from the factory. Later, the game was uploaded to a torrent. The game was planned to be released on August 29, 2008, but due to an incident with a stolen copy, it was released exactly a week earlier on August 22, 2008.
On June 30, 2009, the developers released a patch updating the game to version 1.5.10. The patch makes a number of significant changes to the network, as well as improves the single-player game. For version 1.5.10, the developers have released a multi-patch v.2 which allows you to enable vertical synchronization and fixes a crash on the server list window in a network game.
There are unofficial patches of the game version 1.5.10 to fix bugs.
There are a large number of unofficial modifiers of the game. Among them there are global, graphic and story mods.
